Digital and design

Danish companies are digital, creative and sustainability leaders globally - and the Trade Council helps them take advantage of the massive potential for exports and growth that the US offers.

Digital and Design

Business-to-consumer (B2C) ecommerce has transformed many industries in the US and now represents 14.5 percent of total retail sales, making it a key element in most multichannel strategies. Over the past few years, business-to-business (B2B) sales too has experienced unprecedented adoption of ecommerce solutions as digital sales has become a major growth area in many B2B industries. New York is the digital hub of the Trade Council in North America and through boosting digital sales opportunities across B2C and B2B as well as digital design, the team acts as a gateway for Danish companies to the US.

Denmark is not only a leader in physical products but also in the digital creative industries - like digital design, gaming and animation – and here the Digital and Design team creates unique opportunities as well. In addition to being world renowned for quality and style, Danish design companies are pioneers in circularity and sustainable production, which is becoming a crucial selling point in the US. Our team assists these companies with multichannel strategy and “boots on the ground” execution. An example is our program DK Design Link, which gives Danish companies access to the B2B contract market by engaging architects and interior designers through a digital platform showcasing Danish products and facilitating B2B matchmaking.
