The Trade Council of Denmark in North America is looking for a highly qualified and motivated intern to assist Danish companies in entering the U.S. and Canadian markets. As an intern at the Consulate General of Denmark in Chicago, you will be an integrated part of both the Food &  Agricultural and Market Entry Advisory teams’ daily work and activities supporting Danish companies and organizations in the North American market.

As part of our teams, you will be an integrated part of the daily work, and you will be involved in exciting projects promoting export from Denmark to North America. You will assist our industry specialists within both water and food & beverage processing as well as having the opportunity to participate in case solving and project planning. As our intern, you will be an important contributor on our projects while gaining an in depth understanding of the North American industry conditions by working with Danish companies exporting sustainable solutions.

CHICAGO: Market Entry and Food & Agricultural Advisory | Application Number: TC-2

You will be linked to one of our industry specialists, and gain valuable knowledge of how to conduct business in the U.S. You will work with Danish exports across various sectors in the Market Entry Advisory team.

 

In the Food and Agricultural team, you will be assisting a wide variety of Danish companies within biosolutions and AgTech. You will be included as an important contributor on relevant projects from day one, and achieve a deeper understanding of the dynamics in the North American food and agriculture market.

 

Your daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Market Analysis.
  • Connecting with American stakeholders and Danish companies in both public and private sector.

The Position:

As a Renewable Energy intern, you will join a team of commercial advisors working to support Danish companies within the renewable energy industry in North America. Based at the Consulate General in Houston, you will work with sectors such as On- and Offshore wind, Future Energies, Biogas, and Green Maritime & Ports across several states. The energy team consists of colleagues at our other missions in Chicago, New York, Toronto, and Washington, D.C., with whom we actively collaborate on export and trade promotion. Your core colleagues will be a small team in Houston consisting of result-oriented commercial advisors who provide business development services for Danish companies through an extensive network of industry alliances and individual business development assignments.
