The municipal elections in the Faroe Islands will take place on 12 November, 2024.

Faroese voters abroad can vote at any Danish mission.

Votes can be cast from Friday 12 July, 2024. Votes should be cast well in advance of the election in order to arrive in the Faroe Islands before the Election Day on Tuesday 12 November, 2024.

General Information about Absentee Voting

If you are eligible to vote and temporarily abroad, you can absentee vote at the Danish Embassy, General Consulates and Honorary Consulates in the USA. 

When an election or referendum is announced, this website will be updated with information about when and where to vote.
