General elections in Greenland will take place on March 11, 2025.

The local elections (municipal councils, village councils and parochial church councils) in Greenland will take place on April 1, 2025.

Votes should be cast well in advance of the election in order for the votes to reach the correct municipality of Greenland before the close of Election Day.

General Information about Absentee Voting for Danish citizens abroad

If you are eligible to vote and temporarily abroad, you can absentee vote at the Danish Embassy, General Consulates and Honorary Consulates in the USA. 

When an election or referendum is announced, this website will be updated with information about when and where to vote.
