Danish Consulate in Macon, Georgia

Welcome to the Royal Danish Consulate in Macon, Georgia.

The Consulate stands ready to assist Danish citizens and companies with consular matters.

The Consulate is located in the center of Georgia just an hour’s drive south of the Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, the busiest passenger airport in the world.

Denmark has maintained a Consular presence in Georgia for over 200 years.  Close to 70 Danish companies maintain operations in Georgia and both The Danish Trade Council and the Danish American Chamber of Commerce are very active in Georgia’s Capital City of Atlanta.

Geographically, Georgia is the largest U.S. State east of the Mississippi River. The State offers a wide range of topography ranging from beaches on the Atlantic coast to the mountains of North Georgia. Cultural offerings are available year round. Its 9.8 million residents enjoy a sunny climate full of outdoor activities. A business-friendly environment has attracted numerous well-known international companies who now call Georgia home.

Note: The Danish consulate in Atlanta closed on April 1, 2013 due to Consul Selig's retirement. As of this time, all consular matters in the state of Georgia will be handled by the consulate in Macon.

Yours sincerely,
Christopher N. Smith, Honorary Consul.
