Are you service minded and ready for a diverse and exciting workday? The Embassy of Denmark in Washington, DC has an opening for a full time Receptionist to join the Embassy’s Administration Department. 


About the job
The Receptionist will be part of the Administration Department and the main task will be to man the very busy reception at the Embassy. Your tasks will be all round administrative tasks, answer the Embassy main phone line, coordinate driving, assist with consular tasks, assist with accounting, follow the embassy main email inbox and help colleagues and external guests. 

Required qualifications

  • Experience with ad hoc administrative tasks.
  • Service minded.
  • Take pride in taking responsibility for many different tasks.
  • Structured and good at planning and prioritizing your work.
  • Easily understand rules and procedures and act accordingly.
  • Like to multitask and work in a busy environment.
  • Positive attitude and good team player.
  • Clean criminal record.
 

Desired qualifications

  • Command of one of the Scandinavian languages is not a requirement, but will be considered an advantage.

Employment conditions

  • You will be offered full time employment for 3 years with the possibility of extension on a local contract based on the relevant legally binding labour market rules of the United States of America.
  • You standard working hours will be 37 hours per week
  • You will be entitled to 25 days of paid vacation per year.
