Position: Health & Life Sciences Advisor
Do you want to pursue an international career? Are you interested in working with public affairs, diplomacy and consultancy? Do you want to assist Danish companies in making a difference in addressing healthcare opportunities and challenges in the world's largest economy? Then you might be our new Senior Commercial Advisor in the Health & Life Sciences team in North America. As a Senior Commercial Advisor, you will be an integrated part of our North America Health & Life Science Advisory team (reporting to the regional life science team coordinator based in Boston). You will be responsible for coordinating and leading strategic initiatives within public affairs including identifying, maturing and executing project opportunities for Danish companies.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
§ Specializing in the U.S. healthcare and
life science sector with a specific focus on public affairs and pharma.
§ Coordinating and managing GPA related
initiatives and secure business development processes across North America (US
and Canada).
§ Mapping and managing key stakeholders in
the U.S.
§ Organize and execute events, workshops,
and delegations to and from Denmark in close collaboration with the posted
health sector expert at the embassy in Washington DC as well as the rest of the
Health & Life Sciences team.
§ Research, develop, and present North
American public affairs plans, market entry strategies, business development
strategies, and market intelligence to Danish companies and institutions.
§ Expand our local network in Washington and
engage in collaborative discussions with hospitals and academic institutions, health
authorities, associations, consultants, and key opinion leaders.
§ Work as a link between U.S. customers and
stakeholders, and Danish partners.
§ Help execute project and collaboration
opportunities.
Creating ambitious meeting programs and providing support to high-level programs for delegations, ministerial visits and summits throughout the year – both in the United States, Canada and in Denmark.
Required Qualifications:
§
Experience
in the US healthcare and life science sector is a requirement.
§ Experience with or in-depth knowledge
about US regulatory affairs within pharmaceuticals would be a strong asset.
§ The ideal candidate has strong analytical
skills while possessing curiosity and creativity to build deep knowledge in
healthcare solutions and develop strong local networks across public and
private stakeholders.
§ You have relevant education – preferably with
relevant work experience (5-10 years) in public affairs, consulting, business
and project development, sales, etc.
§ You are ambitious, efficient, outgoing,
and able to handle multiple tasks and work under time pressure.
§ You have a high sense of responsibility
and the ability to work independently as well as in teams.
§ You have an excellent command of English
(written and spoken).
§ Management skills would be an advantage.

Employment Conditions:
You will be a part of the local Trade department as
well as our North American Health & Life Sciences team that is lead out of
our Boston.
§ We offer full-time employment for two
years on a local contract with the possibility of extension.
§ The advisor will have activity and value
targets that should be achieved through direct contracts with Danish Health and
Life Sciences companies that needs support in the US market.
§ Your standard working hours will be 37
hours per week, with a large degree of flexibility in organizing your daily
working hours.
§ You will be entitled to 25 days of paid
vacation per year.
§ Your salary will reflect your qualifications,
relevant experience, and proven work-related results.
§ You will be offered reasonable coverage of
sickness expenses.
