If so, you may be our new Junior Innovation Advisor - Planetary Health & Life Science at Innovation Centre Denmark (ICDK) in Boston.

ICDK Boston is one of seven global Innovation Centres under the Danish Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Higher Education and Science. From one of the world’s leading innovation hubs, we connect Danish and US researchers, entrepreneurs, companies, investors, and public stakeholders to build partnerships, share knowledge, and create business opportunities in the US.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Support and expand ICDK Boston’s network within Planetary Health & Life Science.
  • Conduct outreach to Danish companies and connect them with market opportunities through market intelligence, ecosystem mapping, and project support.
  • Assist in designing and presenting innovation-, internationalization-, and market-entry strategies for Danish start-ups, SMEs, corporates, and research institutions.
  • Support advisory and consulting tasks through research, analysis, and coordination of paid project activities.
  • Engage with relevant segments of the US innovation ecosystem, including corporates, investors, accelerators, hospitals, universities, and public stakeholders.
  • Assist in planning and executing high-level events, delegations, and workshops that strengthen the Danish–US knowledge bridge.
  • Contribute to regional and global ICDK cooperation efforts and collaborate closely with colleagues across North America and the global Innovation Centre network.

Required qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in life sciences, natural sciences, sustainability/green transition, new technologies, business, innovation, or another relevant field.
  • Academic or work experience in Planetary Health & Life Science.
  • Experience with project management, research, consulting, or business development is considered an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken). Danish is not required but will be considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct stakeholder mapping, ecosystem understanding, and opportunity assessment.
  • Ability to network and build relationships with Danish and North American companies, researchers, and authorities.

 

Employment conditions

  • You will be hired on local terms as a Junior Advisor by Innovation Centre Denmark in Boston.
  • Starting date is March 1st, 2026.
  • You will be offered full-time employment for 2 years, with the possibility of extension. Standard working hours are 37 hours per week, with flexibility and no upper limit on hours.
  • The position includes 5 weeks (25 working days) of paid vacation per year, group healthcare benefits, and participation in a pension scheme.
  • The contract is regulated according to the Local Staff Rules of the Danish representations in North America.
  • Travel activity should be expected depending on projects and delegation programs.
