A number of Danish galleries and Danish artists are represented at the big New York art fairs this spring. The first week of March is the week of the grand Armory Show, VOLTA NY and the newcomer PULSE Contemporary Art Fair. Here you can find Danish galleries Andersen’s Contemporary, Bo Bjerggaard, Gallery Poulsen and Galleri Christoffer Egelund.

The Armory Show is devoted to some of the most important art of the 20th and 21st centuries and every year artists, galleries, collectors, critics and curators from all over the world make New York City their destination during the Armory Week.

Among the contemporary galleries at the Armory Show, you will find Danish galleries and Danish artists. The galleries Andersen’s Contemporary and Bo Bjerggaard are big players at the Copenhagen art scene and they will showcase a number of cutting-edge, Danish and international, artists.
Andersen’s Contemporary presents Danish artists as Olafur Eliasson, FOS and Peter Bonde. Among Bo Bjerggaard’s “Great Danes” are Tal R, who recently had a solo-exhibition in New York, Per Kirkeby and John Kørner.

PULSE Contemporary Art Fair has been the premiere satellite fair for the discovery and acquisition of cutting-edge contemporary art since 2005. With annual editions in Miami Beach and New York City, the fair cultivates a supportive environment for its international community of galleries and provides a platform for their growth and expansion in the contemporary art market.

You will find Danish Gallery Poulsen at this year’s PULSE New York with contemporary and expressive artists.

The VOLTA NY art fair is an invitational fair of solo-artist projects which showcases contemporary artists.
The Danish Galleri Christoffer Egelund will be at VOLTA NY showing a solo-exhibition with young, Danish artist Ida Kvetny and her colorful art.
