Are you service minded and ready for a diverse and exciting workday with good colleagues? The Embassy of Denmark in Washington D.C. has an opening for a part time Administrative Officer to join the Embassy’s Administration Department. 
Main tasks and responsibilities as Administrative Officer
As our coming Administrative Officer, you will assist us with covering a wide range of duties in our daily administrative work areas in close cooperation with your colleagues. In the Administration Department, we provide a broad range of administrative support to the Embassy’s employees. We are in charge of the Embassy’s financial administration and accounting, HR, management support, consular affairs, IT, facility maintenance, management of the official residence and of chauffeurs.
 
Required qualifications
Proven experience with administrative tasks. 
Customer and service-minded.
Versatile and flexible in nature, ready to adapt and to take individual responsibility for a wide range of tasks, both big and small.
Experienced user in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and Outlook.
Structured and good at planning and prioritizing your work.
Easily understand rules and procedures and act accordingly.
Like to multitask and work in a busy environment.
Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
Positive attitude and good team player.

Employment conditions
You will be offered part time employment for 2 years with the possibility of extension on a local contract based on the relevant legally binding labour market rules of the United States of America.
Your standard working hours will be 20 hours per week. 
You will be entitled to 25 days of paid vacation per year. 
Your salary will reflect your qualifications, relevant experience and proven work-related results.
