1. Green Investments at Invest in Denmark and EKF

The Position
The Invest in Denmark (IDK) team at Denmark in New York functions as the national investment promotion agency of Denmark. Through active, focused marketing efforts in North America, Asia and Europe, the organization assists foreign companies with an interest in establishing activities in Denmark. EKF is working to create growth and prosperity in Denmark by helping Danish companies reach beyond national border. The EKF team in New York focuses on investment opportunities in the North American market. The Green Investments intern at Denmark in New York will assist the teams at the Consulate General of Denmark in New York who are involved in Green Investment tasks, i.e. specifically the IDK cleantech team and EKF. 

Your daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Focused market research
- Research on American companies’ core competencies
- Financial analyses of American companies
- Project management of specific events and activities
- Assisting in developing business intelligence
- Preparing presentations, updating databases and other administrative tasks.


The Candidate
For this position, students with a strong commercial and/or economic background will be accorded priority consideration. Professional experience is a plus. 

Additional competencies include: 

- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint as well as analytics
- Ability to produce a variety of written English-language communications products in a clear, concise style
- Understanding of Danish core competencies and framework conditions
- A firm understanding of business environments
- An ability to work as a team-player with great personal initiative
- Fluency in English and Danish, both written and spoken.

2. Invest in Denmark

The Position
The Invest in Denmark (IDK) team at Denmark In New York functions as the national investment promotion agency of Denmark. Through active, focused marketing efforts in North America, Asia and Europe, the organization assists foreign companies with an interest in establishing activities in Denmark. The Invest in Denmark intern will assist the IDK team in its daily efforts within the fields of ICT, Cleantech and Life Sciences.

Your daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Focused market research;
- Research on American companies’ core competencies;
- Assisting investment managers in the areas of Life Sciences, Cleantech and ICT;
- Project management of specific events and activities;
- Assisting in developing business intelligence;
- Preparing presentations, updating databases and other administrative tasks.


The Candidate

Silicon Valley

1. Innovation & Research (1 position)

The Position
Innovation Centre Denmark is responsible for promoting Danish higher education and science in California and the Western US. We work closely with the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science and other stakeholders to connect Danish universities and research based companies to US partners. We tailor delegation visits, meetings, exchange programs and other partnership activities through our strategic partnerships with Stanford University, UC Berkeley and other world-renowned universities in the area. As a part of the Research & Education team, you will work closely with the team at the intersection between research, higher education and technological developments.

Your daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Promoting Danish political and public stakeholders’ key interests in California and the Western US in research, development and higher education.
- Collecting and analyzing data and information on emerging trends and best practice within science, technology, innovation, and higher education in Silicon Valley.
- Building and strengthening networks and partnerships between Danish and Californian research communities through delegation visits, meetings, workshops and other joint activities.
- Supporting scholarship and exchange programs for Danish students and researchers at US universities.


The Candidate
- You are currently enrolled in a Master’s program at a Danish University, and are interested in innovation, technology, future trends and creating value for Danish companies and organizations.
- You embrace working on diverse projects across a complex organization and thrive in an environment where you will have lots of responsibility and influence in defining and executing your daily tasks.

2. Innovation & Tech team (2 positions)

The Position
Innovation Centre Denmark provides innovation advisory services to Danish companies and organizations. We cover agendas such as AI, Fintech, Cleantech, digitalization and entrepreneurship and work to promote growth and competitiveness in Denmark through knowledge and networks in the Silicon Valley ecosystem. We arrange Boot Camps for startups; Academies and Master Classes for executives and facilitate corporate innovation in Danish companies. The team works with versatile projects.

Your daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Building and strengthening knowledge, networks and partnerships on key agendas.
- Promoting innovation in Danish companies and organizations by arranging delegation visits, meetings, workshops and other activities.
- Aiding Danish technology start-ups scale globally through our platform SCALEit.
- Exploring emerging trends and prepare reports for knowledge sharing.
- Supporting North American companies establishing business activities in Denmark.
- There will also be tasks for Invest in Demark, working to attract investors to Denmark.
