During the program from July 9 to July 11, Minister Wammen met with, among several others, Deputy Assistant Secretaries at the State Department's Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Kathleen Doherty and Philip Reeker; and US Representative Greg Meeks, ranking member of the House Subcommittee on Europe and Eurasia.
On July 10th Minister Wammen attended a round table discussion at the German Marshall Fund where he presented his reflections on the Danish EU Presidency in light of the European debt crisis and his evaluation of the current state of play in the EU.
