Danish Biotech Gets a Head Start in New York

4.8.2016  16:15
This week, Trade Council North America is introducing 11 key players in Danish biotech to the US market

Companies such as Zealand, Symphogen and Galecto Biotech are among the participants in a high-level conference for Danish biotech in New York, April 12.-13.

The conference covers all aspects of market entry, incl. panels and presentations on:

  • The US IPO process - with NASDAQ
  • Pricing and reimbursement
  • Navigating the FDA-system

Throughout the program, the Danish companies will be matched with leading investors in the US industry in 1-1 meetings.

Interest in Danish biotech in the US market continues to grow, reflected in the level of sponsors for the conference; Citibank, BDO, McGuireWoods, The Trout Group, and NASDAQ.

Megan Dow, Senior Advisor for Life Sciences, Trade Council North America:
“While the IPO window may have closed recently, that means the window for action for Danish companies is now. US investors look for multiple in ROI, and they look to get to know the CEO and CFO intimately long before taking a position. Thus by acting now, in a down market, we can help open that door a little more for our companies.”

The delegation of companies has been invited to ring the Nasdaq Bell Opening on April 13. All partners and investors will also be invited to join the Ambassador, Consul General Anne Dorte Riggelsen at the Residence of Denmark for a networking reception in the evening, giving the Danish companies the opportunity to engage with their and our network in a very unique way.

“This is just the beta-version! We want to make this a success, so we can go even bigger next year,” says Senior Advisor Megan Dow.
