The Danish representations within the US assist Danish exporters, who want to enter the US market with their products and services. Danish representations in the US focus on different markets and sectors. The Consulate General of Denmark, Chicago provides consultancy services within the following sectors:

The focus areas within these sectors include; Bio energy, waste-to-energy and waste/recycling. Furthermore, the Consulate General of Denmark in Chicago has a designated group providing Wind Energy Advisory to Danish wind companies that wish to strengthen their US market focus.
The wind energy advisory team has launched a “cluster concept”, where the aim is to bundle Danish companies from the wind energy sector to offer a stronger product range to US based OEMs. See the Wind Energy Advisory tab on the left for more info.

The Trade Department at the Consulate General of Denmark, Chicago provides strong platforms to enter the US market with guidance on business strategies, market and competitor analysis, identifying local business partners and retailers, running virtual offices, carrying out product presentations as well as organizing and participating in trade fairs. Over a period of many years, the Consulate General of Denmark, Chicago has built up its skills, and it has positively contributed to Danish companies’ export start in the US.
