Danish-Vietnamese Chris Minh Doky has gained worldwide popularity as one of the most talented bass players in contemporary music. Doky is widely recognized for his passionate delivery and extraordinary technical gifts, carrying on the distinct Danish bass tradition of the acoustic bass being a lead instrument.
Doky’s musical roots derive from his love of American East Coast grooves and the lyric tradition of Scandinavia. At Blues Alley, Doky is represented with The Nomads, his band of highly skilled musicians: Behind the drums is legend Dave Weckl, on guitar Dean Brown, one of the most funky guitarists today, and on keyboards the Grammy winner George Whitty.
